The Data Quality Analyst (Data Profiler) manages a focused Data Quality program to monitor, analyze and improve data quality within the Data Warehouse (DW).

Data Quality considerations span the entire information architecture including transactional systems, the data warehouse and data marts.
Data quality steps should be defined by the Data Quality area and incorporated into the standard DW project methodology.
This individual works with all areas in DW and in conjunction with the business community secures business participation in the DQ analysis and ongoing DQ monitoring.

Develops and implements the overall data quality strategy in line withh the Banks Data Governance strategy.
Develops and implements the data quality standards, principles and governance documents.
Coordinates a data quality management ensuring the maximum benefit from the information in the DW.
Ensures adherence to the data quality processes and standards Identify and engage a data owners made up of representatives from each of the key business units.
Monitor data quality levels using predefined data quality metrics .
Perform periodic data quality audits, identify issues and make corrections as necessary .
Evaluate change control requests, issue resolution and risk management efforts to ensure alignment with the DQ strategy .
Defines processes and perform profiling of source data as an integral part of development projects.
Define and design ETL error and exception handling processes and ensure that are applied by each project and application.
Data Quality Assurance in relation to Referential Integrity and Uniqueness of data Selects and implement tools and underlying technology to support Data Quality strategy .
Working closely with Data Quality custodian on integration with the Banks Data Governance forum.

• Matric.
• Recognised qualification, (IT degree or diploma) with at least 5 yrs of relevant practical experience.
• Looking for individuals who have suitable qualifications and experience, good behavioural skills as well as proven technical aptitude.
• Over 3 years Data Quality management experience.
• Industry knowledge pertinent to Data Quality.
• Data Governance strategies and processes.
• Must have strong Data Warehousing experience .
